It's Been Crazy!
Oh my, where to start...
Pete and I are all moved in to the house. Pretty much all set, except no decor on the walls... we're waiting to find perfect fits vs. hanging the same stuff we've had up the last two point five years. I'll get pics up soon. My dad is coming to visit next weekend and then Shannon and Dave... who wants to come next? :):):)
I've been at my new gig for about three weeks now - It seems I've found my niche in publishing and it's great to be back in Higher Ed. It's were I've wanted to be and am glad to have finally made it back - in a new and dynamic capacity! My experience working with K-12 teachers broadened my experience but it's nice to be back on campus working with profs and college age learners. Yeah Pearson Arts & Sciences.
Peter had his wisdom tooth removed yesterday and I've got some super-cute pics of his puffy face but he won't let me publish them:( I will be sending a photo to a select few who will get a kick out of it:)
I got to talk to David last week! I missed his call on my birthday but he called again and we got to chat for about 30 minutes. He also sent some photos of him holding his AK47 (is that the military gun?)... you'd think it would be shocking to see him like that, but for some reason it wasn't... maybe I've just seen enough photos and envisioned his life over there enough that it didn't seem so weird. Anyways- he seems to be doing good- unfortunately he's taken a guard position so he's not in his safe little hut anymore- but he only has a couple months to go. Still counting down the days!
I hope everyone had a happy Easter! Happy birthday to all my March ladies... Court, Carol, Shannon, Jen and Claudette Happy Happy birthday to us!
I'll send an email to you all with our new address.
Besos. Julie and Pedro

Back in the Saddle!
Well Spring is officially here which in Sacramento means beautiful warm weather, soon to be swelteringly HOT weather, and also means lazy winter days are over and physical activity required!
Our new hobby this spring, rollerblading, is off to a shaky start but fun none-the-less. Our new neighborhood has tons of great paved paths and is mostly flat. Great for rollerblading, OK for road cycling, not so fun for mt. biking, so we headed up to the Sierra foothills and discovered Cool, CA. Home to the Olmstead Loop and some of the most beautiful terrain I've seen, not to mention it's known as the "Endurance Capitol" of California.
