David's Home!!

WOO HOO! David's Home! Back safe and sound with Courtney in good ol' Valdosta, GA!! Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers- they worked!

I got to talk to him today for a full hour! It was great to hear his voice and know he's safe. He'll get a couple of weeks to relax and then he and Court will be out on the West Coast for a visit in July. Can't wait to see them!

Pergola Project

Mom and Ken spent the holiday weekend with us in Sac and gave us a great housewarming gift- they helped us build a pergola for our backyard! It's step one in what may be a longterm do-it-ourselves landscaping project.

Peter and Ken built it from square one- how proud am I of my hubby- never knew he had a handyman in him:)

Count Down to Hong Kong

So we've got 7 weeks left until our fast and furious trip to HK! Here are some pics of where we'll be staying. The Eaton Hotel is on the Golden Mile, which is likened to New Yorks Times Square (as opposed to SF's Fisherman's Wharf like I thought).

Hong Kong Here We Come!

So we wanted to take a little vacation this summer and only had five days to do it. Obvious choice for a short vaca: Mexico or Hawaii, right? After doing some research and pricing, I found that over, and over, Hong Kong was listed as one of the worlds must-see cities, and it is supposed to be the perfect 3-4 day adventure... so we opted for Hong Kong!! We're staying in Tsim Sha Tsui, which I imagine is to Hong Kong as Fisherman's Wharf is to SF - thought we'll have to wait and see!
